3M™ All Season Low-E Series · sun control window film · installed by Epic

Cooler in summer. Warmer in winter.

Low-emissivity films that reject solar heat and keep room heat in — the year-round option for single-pane and older glass.

Most window film works in one direction: it keeps summer heat out. All Season Low-E films add a low-emissivity layer that reflects the room’s own radiant heat back inside in winter, so the same film cuts cooling load in July and heating load in January. On single-pane and older double-pane glass it is the closest thing to a window upgrade without replacing the window.

3M All Season Low-E rating

Heat rejection★★★★★Winter insulation★★★★★Visible light transmission★★★☆☆

What it does, and where it belongs.

All Season is 3M’s current low-E line and the successor to the discontinued Thinsulate Climate Control films. A low-emissivity coating lowers the effective U-value of the glass — on 1/4" clear single pane from 1.03 to as low as 0.77 — while the film’s solar-control layer rejects up to 77% of total solar energy. Three shades: a nearly clear 70 for buildings that want insulation without a visible change, and a 35 and 20 for sun-exposed glass that needs glare control as well.

Why people choose 3M All Season Low-E

  • Two-season savings: Rejects up to 77% of total solar energy and lowers the U-value of the glass for heating months.
  • Lower U-value: The low-E coating reduces radiant heat loss through the glass — down to 0.77 on single-pane clear.
  • Comfort at the glass: Fewer hot and cold spots along the perimeter; less thermostat fighting.
  • Three shades: Light 70 through strong-glare 20.
  • UV protection: Blocks up to 99.9% of UV.

Which glass this film is approved for

Approved for most single-pane and insulated glass; the heating-season benefit is largest on single-pane and older double-pane units. Epic confirms thermal-stress compatibility at the free survey and runs the facility energy analysis with your actual heating and cooling costs, because All Season is the one film whose payback is calculated on both. Installed by Epic-employed Certified Installation Specialists; the 3M warranty terms are stated on the proposal.
