Anti-graffiti window film · 3M Anti-Graffiti Film, installed by Epic
Let the film take the damage.
Anti-graffiti window film is a clear, replaceable layer over glass. When vandals scratch, etch or tag it, Epic peels the damaged film and installs a fresh layer instead of replacing the glass. Epic installs 3M Anti-Graffiti Film on storefront, transit shelter, school and restroom glass doors and windows, nationwide.
- 3M Anti-Graffiti Film AG4 & AG6
- Optically clear · 86% visible light (3M)
- Peel and replace, not reglaze
- Epic employees, never subcontractors
What is anti-graffiti window film?
A clear, sacrificial film that goes over the glass and takes the abuse. Keys, etching tools, abrasives and markers mark the film, not the glass. When the film is marked, it comes off and a new layer goes on.
- Optically clear polyester with an abrasion-resistant coating (3M)
- A sacrificial, removable layer: it does not chemically bond to the glass (3M)
- Helps protect glass from vandalism, graffiti, etching, scratches and abrasion (3M)
- 86% visible light transmitted and under 1% UV transmitted, on 1/4" clear glass (3M AG4 and AG6 data sheets)
- 3M makes it in AG4 and AG6 grades (3M data sheets); Epic recommends the grade at the survey
- Installed by Epic Certified Installation Specialists, Epic employees, never subcontractors
Where does anti-graffiti film go?
Anywhere glass gets keyed, scratched, etched or tagged often enough that replacing it has become a line item.
Storefronts & retail
Display windows and entry doors that get keyed, scratched or tagged. A damaged layer comes off and a new one goes on, without reglazing or closing the store.
Transit & bus shelters
Shelter panels and station glass in public space, where scratching and etching are a routine maintenance cost.
Schools
Entry, corridor and restroom glass doors and windows that students can reach. Epic can install it on the same visit as security film going on other glass.
Restrooms
Glass doors and windows in public and school restrooms.
Lobbies & entrances
Lobby glass doors, sidelites and entry windows in buildings open to the public.
Office & campus glass
Interior or exterior glass doors and windows in offices, campuses and public buildings. 3M documents the film for interior or exterior glass on windows and doors.
3M documents its Anti-Graffiti Films for glass on windows and doors. Epic confirms every surface at the survey before quoting.
Peel the film. Keep the glass.
Survey and install
Epic walks the glass, recommends the 3M grade, and installs the film. Like any new window film, no washing for the first 30 days (3M).
The film takes the hit
Scratches, etching and graffiti land on the film. The glass underneath stays clear.
Peel and replace
The film is pressure-sensitive and does not chemically bond to the glass, so the damaged section comes off. Epic cleans the glass and installs a fresh layer.
Replace it again when needed
When the film is marked again, Epic peels it and installs a new layer. The glass itself is not replaced.
